I AM ANDRE CLARKE

I am Andre T Clarke Sr., aka Sniper-Tech, one of the proud Co-Founders and Co-Owners of The Black OutdoorsMen. Allow me to share with you a brief history of where I am from to where I am today.

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica in Montego Bay, St James. I migrated from Jamaica to the United States in the late 80’s first to New York City and then to South Florida where I attended my last year of middle school and 4 yrs. of high school. After completing high school in South Florida at the age of 17, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.  I served 13+ glorious years as an engineer, aviator, rifle, pistol and shotgun marksmanship instructor, non-lethal weapons instructor (baton, pepper spray, etc.) and a Marine Corps Martial Arts Black Belt Instructor.

During my time in service, I served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). In addition to my military hand to hand combat training, I practiced Aikido, Hapkido, Arnis De Mano, Kempo and Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan and achieved my Black Belt in Universal Tang Soo Do under the tutelage of Grand Master Robert D. Price of Prices Academy of Martial Arts and Self-Defense in California City, California.

After leaving active duty in 2007, I missed being on the range, shooting and teaching, so I became an NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun Instructor. As an instructor I strive to produce confident, proficient, and safe gun handlers with every student I teach.

As for my love of the outdoors I would say that started as a child growing up on the island, we use to build sling shots made from sticks and rubber from old car inner-tubes. We used these slingshots, aka catapults, to hunt birds in the back yard and rid the place of nuisance croaking lizards and venomous iguanas. If we did not have a catapult we simply used stones to accomplish the mission. While growing up as a youth in South Florida I was a boys scout for a short period of time and enjoyed time in the woods camping, fishing and doing various outdoor activities. All of my outdoors, military and martial arts experiences made me gravitate towards hunting and learning to become a game keeper; I bow hunt in the early fall, muzzle load hunt, then shotgun and rifle hunt till late winter. When I am not hunting I am behind a computer of some sort hence the name Sniper-Tech.  I look forward to sharing my future experiences through The Black OutDoorsMen and prayerfully Inspire people to enjoy, love and respect the outdoors.

I say prayerfully because I am a believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and I am led by the Holy Spirit so I may carry out the Will of God who is the head of my life.

“There are many snipers and many techs but only One Sniper-Tech.”

May God bless and keep you and I hope you (FULLJOY) The Black OutDoorsMen experience.

Psalms 127:3-5

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
